Marriage is sweet and greatly rewarding if the ingredients are well managed and all necessary adjuncts are in place. Many a times some of the problems that evolve in many marriage relationships are due to selfishness and inability to love selflessly with unforgiving attitude. It is rightly stated, "that you should love your neighbor as yourself." Now love your spouse as yourself.

With that love overwhelming you, you can easily part with offences and attitudes that can cause separation and divorce.

Try to practice the following frequently until you're familiar with what suites you and your spouse to make a success in your marriage relationship.

• See your spouse as your second half. Over-look all his/her errors and understand that you are not complete without him/her. This will make you to accept him/her in spite of his/her shortcomings. There are times those errors you detect are there to mold you for a better man or woman God wants you to be.

• Be positive about your situations and conditions of living which is adversely caused by your spouse. If you always see the wrong side, you can hardly get the juice out of him/her. Remember two wrongs cannot make a right.

• Express your love to him/her through cards. Show that you care with some written words of love. This will prevent thoughts of divorce. It is a "matter of the heart and the heart of the matter" if your spouse is close to you and express it in a written form. Tell him/her "I love You, you are so dear to me and none can act your place in my live without you." That alone can clear thoughts of divorce.

• Encourage your partner when he/she is down emotionally. Many a times pressures from work and business could bring weariness. The home should be a place of reformation to gain lost comfort. When the atmosphere at home is welcoming and encouraging, little will the pressure from outside affect the mind.

• As a wife, cook special meal for your husband occasionally. Just for him. This will create a sense of care and love to prevent him from looking outward. Some men likes specially prepared dishes which if their wives are not careful, it can affect their marriage.

• Consider his/her feelings before you take action. Everyone should show traits of responsibilities towards the union success and failure. Marriage is sweet when you succeed and fail together. Never pass the bulk of blame to your spouse even if your are 100% sure that you are clean. Let him/her see you sharing in his/her blame.

• Buy personalized gift materials for him/her. It could be underwear, tops or other forms of clothing, shoes, etc. This can go along way to revive dead relationship. Due to a constant attention derived from your gift. Your love for him/her can be revitalized.

• Plan for your future together by sharing your visions together. This will bring your closeness to a heart-to-heart formidable relationship. Much more can be learned from each other when there is oneness is thoughts.

• Spend time together at home. You can express your love with much intimacy. Retire home early after work to be with your spouse and the children rather than spending the whole time with friends or work outside the home. He/she need your closeness. "Out of sight is out of mind."

• "Sorry for my error", "please pardon me" or "forgive me" will prevent rancor and nagging at home. Apologize when you hurt him/her. Husbands ought to see themselves as heads and at the same time. The head, a leader cannot successfully lead until he submits himself and be ready to learn from his error and lessons of others.

• Admire your spouse by telling him/her why you love and respect him/her. Love is the foundation of a life long successful marriage relationship.
